How do I invite members to my Skool group?

So you made your Skool group, populated it with content and you're ready for people to join! But how do you invite members? There are a few different ways, all of which can be accessed through the settings modal.

1. Click the "Settings" button at the bottom of the group info card on the right hand side of the feed:

2. Once in the settings modal, notice that you're already in the "Invite" tab by default:

Invite through individual email addresses:

Using this method, simply input the email address of anyone you want to invite to your group in the first input field titled "Email address". Click the active "Send invite" button to send out the invitation. Please note, members who are invited using this method will automatically join the group and bypass the default membership approval process:

Want to send special course access to this person along with the invite? Click on the course access counter here which by default shows any courses available to everyone in the group:

Clicking it brings up the list of public, private and level-locked courses. You can add any private courses you want to the invite:

Checking off more courses and clicking "Save" adjusts the counter before you are ready to send the invite:

Here is how the email with course access will look when the person receives it:

As a reminder, only private courses you are sending access to will show up in the email invite like above. Any courses that "all members have access" to are auto-selected in the course list when prepping your invite and won't show as special unlocks in the email.

***Note: the above method works to update course access for existing members too.  Simply send them an invite with new private courses you'd like unlocked for them, and when they click on the email invite link they simply need to log into their existing account to see the new course available (same will happen if they are already logged in). This can also be managed in the members tab.

Invite through shareable invite link:

If you don't have direct email addresses to send out invites to or would like to use a shareable invite link, Skool provides that too! Below the email address invite section in that same panel is the invite link dropdown, which will underline on mouse hover:

Once clicked, the invite link will appear below with a button for easy URL copying and sharing. Please note, members who are invited using this link will have to go through the membership approval process. Clicking on the pending invites link will take you to the "invited tab" to get more detail on your pending invites that have yet to be actioned.

Invite in bulk using a CSV upload:

Further down in the same panel, you'll see the Import .CSV file section - click "import" for further details:

This method makes it easier to upload multiple email addresses, great for initial importing of users. We also provide a .csv template in case you don't have one yourself. Just like manual invites, you can adjust specific private course access to go with your bulk invites. Please note, members who are invited using this method will automatically join the group and bypass the default membership approval process. Click the "Upload file" button to get started with your file upload:

Invite using a webhook:

When you have multiple systems and want members to be automatically invited after completing certain actions, use the webhook method. Head to the plugins tab and click "edit" next to Webhook:

Here you can toggle the plugin on/off and copy your webhook URL. Each member will receive a unique invite link to Skool and there is a handy instructional setup video. Please note, members who are invited using this method will automatically join the group and bypass the default membership approval process:
