How to setup AutoDM?

  1. Click the SETTINGS button in your community.

  1. Navigate to the Plugins tab and click EDIT.

3. Customize your message in the message input box. You can use #NAME# and #GROUPNAME# as variables so your message is custom to your new member's first name and your group name. You can preview your message using the PREVIEW button so you can check your formatting.

4. You can change the sender of the AutoDM by clicking on the Change button. Only group admins can send the AutoDM.

5. Save the message by clicking on SAVE and toggle the feature ON.

When a new member joins your group, they'll receive this custom message within 1 to 5 minutes of joining the group. If a conversation already exists, they will not receive an AutoDM.
