Resolving connectivity issues

Live issue: Cablevision Systems Corporation, Altice USA, or Optimum Communications Internet Service provider is currently unable to connect to Skool.com. In most cases doing 1 or 5 from below has fixed the issue.

Error code (ERR_CONNECTION_RESET) or blank.

If your site looks something like this, please try the steps below to help resolve:

1: Try another Network

This is the easiest way to tell if it's just your network or location.

  1. Switch to another wifi, or your mobile internet
  2. Check some websites
    1. https://www.skool.com
    2. news.google.com

2: Reset your Internet (If connected to home wifi)

This is the most effective fix for almost all home internet issues if connected to the home wifi.

  1. Go to your Internet Router (the box with the blinking lights that serves your home's Wi-Fi internet).
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the box.
  3. Count to 30 seconds.
  4. Plug it back in and wait 5 minutes for the lights to turn green.
  5. Try the website again.

3: Clean your Browser’s Memory

Sometimes your browser gets clogged by old data it has stored.

  1. Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys on your keyboard, then tap the Delete key.
  2. A window will pop up. Look for "Time Range" and select "All time."
  3. Click the blue "Clear data" button.
    1. Note: You might have to sign back into some websites after doing this.
  4. Try the website again.

4: Turn off "Middle-Man" Software

If you use a VPN (software that hides your location, like NordVPN or ExpressVPN), it often causes this specific error.

  1. Turn it OFF. Look for the small VPN icon near your clock and "Disconnect" or "Exit" the VPN.
  2. Try the website again.

5: Use CloudFlare as their DNS resolver

This can help resolve many routing issues.

  1. Detailed instructions: https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/setup/
    1. Click and expand Device or router specific guides
    2. Updating the phone’s DNS settings:

      Android: https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/setup/android/#android-11-or-later

      iOS: https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/setup/ios/#configure-1111-manually

  2. Try the website again.

Note: You can also get in touch with your internet service provider via the ISP portal > support chat > and ask them to "whitelist the skool.com domain".
