How do I add a classroom to my group?
Classroom is a lightweight content portal for online courses. You can use it to create modules, embed videos, add resources, transcripts, and track student progress. Classroom integrates with your Skool community so your students will have 1-login, 1-profile, and 1-search — for everything.
To create a classroom in your group follow these steps!
1. Click the settings button for your group, navigate to the classroom tab, and click "Add Course":
2. Add in your course title, description, set your course access, and publish or keep it as a draft. You can set course access to all members, some members, and members of a certain level. More detail for these settings can be found here:
3. Next, from the course menu you will see a default empty set with an empty module. You can edit sets and modules by clicking the edit buttons.
- Sets are a convenient method to organize sections of a course (example: Week 1, Week 2) and contain the separate course modules.
- Modules are nested within sets and are where the course content is viewed. In modules, you can add:
- Videos - YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Loom
- Module description
- Links and files such as pdfs, jpegs, spreadsheets, etc.
- Action Items
- Transcripts
- Group discussion underneath modules
- Add Drip to release course content over a number of days after members join
4. After setting up Sets and Modules, you can easily publish them by clicking on the toggle chips next to the titles:
5. After your course is published, the classroom tab should be available in the top navigation bar:
6. Click the classroom tab and you'll be taken to your course view. This is what your group members will see:
7. If you set up more than one course, clicking the classroom tab will take you to a list of your individual courses:
