What to do if a referral wasn't attributed?

Group Affiliate: If the group wasn't attributed, the only way to attribute is to cancel your current free trial and then create another free trial by clicking on the affiliate link.

Member Affiliate: In these situations, it's best to self-diagnose and take the appropriate action. Say member A referred to member B.

  • Check if member A is NOT an admin. The feature is intended only for members, mods, not admins, and owners of the group.
  • Check if the affiliate feature is turned on for the group. This is only feasible on the Pro plan.
  • Check if member A has an active membership. If their subscription is cancelled, the referral will not be attributed.
  • Check if member B ACTUALLY clicked on the referral link shared by member A.
  • Check if member B is a new member and not rejoining the group, since that won't count.
  • For courses, check if the affiliate toggle is ON for the course. This is a separate toggle from the group-level toggle for the feature.

Furthermore, it's best to just remove member B and get them to rejoin from a different Skool account. You may need to issue a refund and remove. Or, you can ask member B to rejoin after the end of their billing cycle as well by clicking on the member A's referral link.

Note that product support cannot re-assign/add affiliate attribution to any user at all. The affiliate system is end-to-end automated.
