How to transfer group ownership?

Group ownership transfer is supported only on the Pro plan.

1. Add the member you'd like to transfer ownership to as a member in your group. (Jon is the current owner transferring the group ownership to Jane, the new owner.)

2. Make them an admin. They must be an admin of the group, to become the owner. Click on the MEMBERSHIP ⚙️ and proceed to make them an admin of the group.

3. Once they are an admin, click the MEMBERSHIP ⚙️ again and then proceed to make them the new owner.

Once the ownership is transferred, the group will be archived. The previous owner will become the admin of the group. The new owner would need to add their payment info to reactivate the group.

Note: If you are on the Hobby plan, you'd need to upgrade to the Pro plan, which will incur a charge, and then the group being reactivated by the new admin account will also have a charge. We recommend doing it at the end of the billing cycle (1 day before your billing date) to incur minimum charges since these charges are non-refundable.
