Google Ads Troubleshooting Steps

If the data on your Google Ads account is not displaying correctly, This is often caused by issues with conversion tracking tags, like an incorrect Tag ID or Conversion Label. Follow these troubleshooting steps to diagnose and resolve the issue.

  1. Verify Conversion Tracking Tags

  • Install the Google Tag Assistant Chrome extension to verify that your Google Ads tags (e.g., conversion tracking, remarketing tags) are installed correctly and firing as expected.
  • Ensure that the correct conversion label is installed on your Skool group. Incorrect setup can lead to inaccurate data reporting.
  • Activate Auto-Tagging in your Google Ads account to ensure proper tracking of campaign performance across domains.

  1. Check for Ad Blockers or Browser Issues

  • Disable any ad blockers or privacy-focused extensions that may be preventing Google Ads scripts from running.
  • Try to access Google Ads from different browsers or devices to rule out browser-specific issues.
  • Sometimes, stale cookies can cause issues with tracking. Clear cookies and cache and try again.

  1. Review Account Status

  • Navigate to Google Ads → Account Settings to check for any policy violations, billing issues, or suspensions. Resolve flagged issues through Google Ads Support.
  • Go to Google Ads > Billing & Payments to check for any pending issues that could prevent ads from running.

  1. Optimize Campaign Settings

  • Make sure that you haven’t maxed out your daily budget. If your budget is exhausted early, ads will stop displaying until the next day.
  • Ensure your ads are relevant to the keywords you are targeting. Low-quality ads may not be shown as frequently due to low Quality Scores.

  1. Ensure Ad Quality and Relevance

  • Check that your ads meet Google's quality standards. Poorly performing ads may be disapproved or shown less frequently.
  • Run A/B tests to identify high-performing ad variations and improve overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Review your attribution model in Google Ads > Conversions to ensure it accurately reflects how conversions are credited to ads.
